As a brand born of the 21st century we believe it is our responsibility to consider sustainability in every decision we make. We also believe the term to be highly personal. To sustain is “to strengthen, to support” and it is our aim and aspiration that through the development, production, marketing, and sale of our collection that humankind and our planet are respected and supported. We also recognize that our industry is inherently flawed and that the cycles of trend and consumption must be disrupted in order to curb their negative social and environmental impact.
Sustainability- like life, like art- is an ongoing exploration.
This is an exciting time to be making clothes. Technology has expanded the world of textiles exponentially in the last two decades. When we began to conceptualize Untitled, we knew that we wanted a super luxe fabric, that was durable enough to wash and wear A LOT, and was made from eco-friendly, breathable fibers. The textile that checked all the boxes is TENCEL™ Luxe. Derived from renewable wood sources in a closed loop process, TENCEL™ Luxe is a Lyocell filament yarn that has a liquid-like drape and a color vibrancy that is perfect for our limited edition prints. We digitally print our designs to reduce water waste and use non-toxic dyes.
As we expand our offerings we are committed to using natural fabrics, that are either organic in origin or produced using responsible processes.
We produce in some of the best factories in the world. What does that mean to us? It means that the machinists and laborers make a fair wage, for a fair amount of hours (equal to or less than 45/week), and are satisfied with their employment. It means that the quality of the workmanship is impeccable— an indication that the employees are highly skilled and the machinery well cared for. It means that we can trust our relationship with the management team so that we can deliver the collection we set out to make. We are happy to provide a copy of our latest factory audit report.
